Retailer Service Tech 1
PAP Technologies, Inc. is looking for experienced Field Service Technicians to join our team. The successful candidates will spend the majority of their workday driving from location to location, evaluating and repairing client products, updating customers on the progress of repairs and resolving any issues. Our Field Service Technicians work closely with our team of specialists to create a cohesive and smooth customer experience. We are looking for technicians with a strong technical aptitude as well as a record of hard work.

Requirements:

Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy equipment in excess of 500 lbs.
Job Duties:
- Performs field repair functions including installs, removing terminals, communications equipment and peripheral procedures, with little or no supervision.
- Performs problem diagnosis for scheduled and unscheduled service calls. Ability to travel to customer sites for repair.
- Performs vehicle management functions as set by guidelines.
- Ability to operate a smart services phone.
- Ability to work with NRC to ensure timeliness to retail locations and understanding problem at each assigned service location.
- Records service call information, logs and reports data communication problems to management and communicates recommendations on customer’s equipment.
- Follow through on customer issues that require additional support or are above the scope of own abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot all forms of communication within a retailer location, including but not limited to, VSAT, DSL, and CDMA technologies.
- Provide necessary information and updates on an ongoing basis to management regarding the resolution of software and hardware problems.
- Performs routine maintenance on company vehicles.
- Maintains an acceptable driving record in accordance with the motor vehicle safety policy.
- Maintains an acceptable level of customer service.
- All other duties as assigned.
